You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Not much of a story to tell" you say confused. You eye the crone, and then the interior of the tent. "Just got lost out here lookin' for supplies". For a moment, the air thickens with awkwardness. "Oh...so your not some warrior trying to kill me?" The old hag asked confused as well. "Kill you? That would be terrible for business!, I just need some supplies and I'll be heading back to my tavern." I say. "Oh then, there is a supply shop a few feet south, following the lanterns..." Says the old hag, a little disappointed. "Thanks, be seeing ya, I hope..." I say as I turn to leave.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Make your character mighty, but not too mighty as, firstly it isnt fair because its no fun having no one be able to kill you, but also cause no one will want to roleplay with you as it is almost impossible, especially in PvP situations.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts roleplay because its not fair or fun when someone uses information that they didnt obtain while in roleplay to act upon or make certain decisions. If someone knows something ooc, they shouldnt use it to make any other sort of biased decisions or make any other actions than their character would do.
