    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I personally will not do anything my character can not do and or would be unfair as in being ungodly fast or anything my character can't do physically.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It disrupts fair rp by giving you power over others by having your character knowledge that no one in the rp has told you.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

 

I walk over to the seat and sit down,and then I begin "Well its a long one but,here goes,I am a traveler and a swordsman by trade this is my first stop on my journey to find my friend and I had hoped he was here but sadly it looks like he is not.And about myself I am a dark elf and my parents wanted me to be some thing less dangerous then a swordsman and locked me in my room to keep me from training with the sword,soon after I ran away and that was two no three years ago," I sigh and slump a little bit thinking about it"I haven't seen them since but, after that I found my friend who trained me to be a swordsman. After about a year we went to find a dwarf to forge me my own sword but,during the journey my friend was kidnapped by a orc and that's all I know about the person who took my friend,so for about two years I have been looking for him that is why I came to this town I had gotten a lead that I might find my friend or at least the orc but,nothing."
