You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Still keeping her blue raggy hood up and inspecting the tent's dirt stained interior, she lets out a deep breath of fatigue before taking in the different coloured candles that hung in the air. Blue, green, and another that had a grey musky colour with tiny blue blotches, partially similar as the first one. The Hag gifted her a cup of tea and closing her eyes, she lets her words and mind flow from her throat.
"What I say may be mindbogging to you folks, but a story wouldn't hurt... Ever hear of Kara?" Vidha does a shallow huff from her nose, remembering her time from the land that became a fuzzy memory, or a distant dream that she was ripped away from. Eyeing the green candle that had it's weak flame snuffed out, she continued her story once more and took a sip to refresh her throat.
"Great place with abundant crops, people, stories and... chaos, the good kind..." Shifting her from the Hag's intrigued eyes to the glassy lantern that hung on her hip belt, seeing the flickering blue flame cradled by the lantern itself which remined her of mission in this lifetime. Now the tea in the cup all gone, Vidha realised that she overstayed her welcome under the Hag's roof (or tent I should say) and dusted her outfit and lantern, not forgetting to bid her goodbye to the Hag before leaving the tent to continue on her journey guided by her heart's soulless content.
"May you live a fulfilling live in this world..." The Hag whispered as she watched Vida disappear through the flaps and into the veil of darkness.
