You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Oh... Hello Ma'a-" they paused at the words 'Tell me your story.' "My story? Okay...." they sat. "Well, I'm not one to tell stories, but here I go...!" They said, with a slight hint of fear, or nervousness in their voice, hard to tell. "I'm Faelyn Nym Neriwenys, a wood elf wishing to learn and understand magic. I was born and raised as many wood elves are, I lived in my seed, though, I was considered a bit odd..." they paused "I was thinner than most kids, and pretty light in terms of weight, even now I believe I'm still underweight, though I'm not sure if that's accurate. I also was a bit more sheltered, but that's not that odd? Right? I mean... my family just didn't want their only child to get hurt, that's normal! Right?" They paused "Sorry, I'm just nervous, I enjoy books, but I've never found myself a very good storyteller. I mostly just researched magic rather than talking to elves my age, which I think can show my struggle with communication, but even with that, I am always willing to try!" They said, nervous sweat forming on their forehead. "Well... uhm.... let me think of the rest of my story-" they mumbled, struggling to remember their own past. "Well..... more recently I set off on my travels, I'm tired of being confined to only stay with my close family, I want to explore the world beyond the trees!" they paused "Sorry, I must sound like a complete idiot right now." They ranted, not realizing how talkative they were being, despite presenting little about themself and worrying too much. They realized this and just shut their mouth awkwardly.
