You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Well I came here from my old home." The short man replied as he went to take a seat on the cushion. His nose twitched with the awful smell that emitted around him. "It was in the forest nearby.. It burnt down after I forgot to put out the fire before I went to sleep." He sighed with remorse within his eyes. He went to rub his forehead as he continued. "I lived off my own garden and rarely went out to city for things. I've been traveling around for a few days until I got here." Hellion continued before lowering his hand to rest on his knee. His voice began to falter as he spoke a few last words to the woman, "My family died when I was 18 to a disease, so I have been living by myself since then. My eyes were brown just like the rest of my family."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I would avoid powergaming by not acting like a God or ignoring actions against my character that would actually cause damage.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair rp because if someone tells me OOCLY where they are during a raid and I go to the exact place to help - it causes a lack of proper rp. I would need a aviary to let me know where the raid is happening to consider it not metagaming.
