    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Biggest thing is acting how your character actually would and could. Also another would be never removing someones ability to RP out a situation based on your actions. I cant just /action and put "smites Cthul with powers of god turning him into ash"
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: The whole fun in roleplay is learning and finding things out through interactions. When you metagame information from streams or discord and bring it into the server your skipped the RP and went straight to information your character technically has no idea on.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
