    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I usually just ignore them and carry on to what im doing. If I was having a conversation with them and they started acting like this I would just leave them be.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: You could ruin the roleplay for others. Would be as fun if you know something you shouldnt had known. A way to avoid this is to just roleplay fair and think about what your gonna say.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”


"Oh, I just passing through and  you happened to spot me. uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until I see a crow with dark pointy feathers, almost invisible, blended into the dark pitched sky, it screams and flies away from the rusted fence it had been standing on.
