    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: You can't really avoid it because its another players action, though you can ask them to stop because it is ruining other players roleplay experience and if you dont you can try finding someone else to rp with.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming can disrupt fair roleplay because if someone does an action or says something to someone else when you were not there and you comment on it or use it in any sort of way it ruins anything that they could have used it for.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
