You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Eyeing the old crone suspiciously, I decide to take a seat on the dusty, flat cushion she pointed at. " I did not mean to intrude, but since you want me to stay, i will gladly tell you my story.." I say softly. The quietness in the air unsettled me but I did not think too much into it. I cleared my throat as i began to tell her the short version of my story. "I was born in the nation of Caliphate, my parents were both teachers who loved to teach me about the world, but they sheltered me from how the world actually was." Pushing back tears i continued, " They've recently passed and I'm now on my own, for 22 years I've been protected and now i am not, which scares me." I sigh, pushing away a stray tear that fell on my cheek. "I've always loved literature, whether it was to learn or to escape. I've been told I can be.. what's that word again.." pinching the bridge of nose in order to think," OH YEAH! A ditz.. i guess its because i can be all over the place sometimes." I say with a small smile looking at the old woman in front of me. " Recently I've decided i want to explore and learn about the outside world even though it seems terrifying." I finish looking at the old crone infront of me as she offers me a cup of tea. I hesitantly take it, inspecting it before i drink it, it smells likes flowers and soil. I drink the aromatic tea and it taste like honey, which was surprisingly good. The room started to spin and right before i pass out she says with a sincere smile, "Welcome, Aralia, I'm glad you told me your story. I hope you enjoy the rest of your life." And the room faded to black.
