You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
You raise you eyes to meet hers with a blank expression, not breaking eye contact, sighing before speaking "Well, I came here with my brother..." You'd pause contemplating on whether or not you should really be telling this stranger your story as you scratched your face. You smile for the first time in forever, nodding. You think, 'Ah what the heck, no harm in telling her a bit about yourself since she claims to have been expecting you'. You finally continue after clearing your throat, stating in a firm but quiet tone "We're on a quest for adventure... Have been for the past few years since our parents died. And well- after the last few adventures in bigger towns and villages, we figured we'd try a smaller town that no ones ever heard of." A loud thump would be heard as you finally sat yourself on the cushion that she had offered a while back. Upon sitting down you open your satchel, as the old hag stares upon you in silences, you ignore her as you rummage through it. Eventually you find what you're looking for and pull out some left over pastries, offering some to her, "Here, can you tell me a bit more about this town? You seem like you're very wise."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I only make emotes that are realistically possible, one should be able to know what is and isn't possible in the real world when it comes to combat/fighting. However it can be hard to avoid players who may powergame so all you can do is to report them after trying to inform them that what they are doing is powergaming and to convince them to try to rethink their emote. Roleplay should be enjoyable for both parties so in p2l both parties should emote in realistic manner that makes both parties happy, however rolling systems are a good way to also determien the out come of a emote that is made in a realistic manner.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: gives your char or whomever is metagaming info occly to iccly unfair knowledge that gives them the upperhand. This unfair advantage from the information that was metagamed makes the whole roleplay experience less fun for others who follow the rules and don't metagame info by roleplaying realistically.
