    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: I try to be in my character's shoes and focus on reacting and interacting how he would to the world, without trying to minmax his actions.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: It messes up the natural roleplay flow and can make things boring and messes up the whole mood

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I take in the floating candles and know I am in the right place. "I am an apprentice sorcerer seeking knowledge and guidance. I believe magic has more to offer than what I have learned so far." I create a small flame in my hand, casting a shadow of my face on the wall. "I have heard you are wise and have knowledge that few others possess. Will you help me?" I look her in the eyes, eager to learn
