How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when someone uses terms outside of roleplaying. An example would be someone saying something like "I have to go" or "what time will you be on tomorrow?" Basically, it's just someone speaking out of context and unrelated to the general topic.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when someone is making their character completely overpowered to the point where other people's actions don't matter at all.

  1. Your metagaming definition is incorrect. Please refer to our wiki page on metagaming to find LotC’s accepted definition (just remember not to plagiarise!).
  2. Unfortunately, Salvus didn’t exist during your character’s lifetime. Please search for places or events on the wiki that existed near to the end of the previous map/continent of the server named ‘Atlas’ or from the current map, ‘Arcas’, for places that they may have visited within the last decade or so.
  3. You must include at least one clear flaw in your character’s interesting facts/traits. A flaw is generally something to do with a character’s personality/behaviour. Please note that these facts and traits must also be at least five word sentences!
  4. Your character description should be used to describe the physical attributes of your character such as their hair colour, eye colour and any other distinguishing features they may possess.
  5. While this is not at all necessary to change, I wanted to make sure that you’re aware your character’s age will mean that they will be considered something like a child or adolescent in most elven cultures. Generally speaking, elves aren’t considered adults until they reach at least 50 years of age.
  6. Your skin does not fit LotC’s medieval fantasy theme. Please find another, more suitable skin. The LotC Skin Archive is available for use and inspiration!
