You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"My story? Huh..." Margor sits, following the hag's instructions "... I have never been one for stories."
Margor takes off his hood, places his axe on the ground and sighs.
"It all started, I think, when I started my journey. I'm not really the adventurous type, but things were starting to get heated at home." he says, looking outside the tent.
"My father died a long time ago, when I was just a child, and I had to support my drunken mother and my younger sister. Eventually, she managed to escape from her, leaving me with that hag." he looks at the lady "No offense."
Margor sighs once more, looking away in the distance "I needed to escape from her too, and so I did. It took me years to set up my departure but I did it. Right now I'm looking for my sister." he says while looking at his axe "We need to talk, and I want to know why she left me in that hell hole we called home. Our mother, you know, she used to beat us near unconsciousness, almost sold my sister to the leaders of the fighting pits while I took the beating in her stead. The day I escaped from there I made sure she had no food in the house, I took it all with me. Call me a hoarder, or selfish, I don't care. I needed to survive the wilderness."
Margor notices he's been talking for a while "I'm sorry for dumping all of this onto you, it's just... It's been awhile since I talked to someone."
The dwarf gets up, takes his stuff and, before leaving he looks at the lady "Thank you for your hospitality, maybe I'll stop by sometimes."
Margor exits the tent, lifts his hood, ready to continue the search for his sister.
