You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Are you M-" you get cut off by the old hag, "Shhh! We don't say other people's names here..", you ask her with a half-surprised, half-scared face "What? why not?", "That's not important right now.." she calmly says, "I'm curios, tell me, what happened?" the hag asked.

"Alrighty then." you replied with a suspicious tone, "Here is how it all began, my parents and I have been living in a small village near the farms of a city the village including my parents wouldn't tell me the name of-" you get cut briefly, "ah yes, that city" the hag says with a depressing tone, "Can you not cut me off while I'm telling the story? And stop it with these mysterious comments about the city, it annoys me as no one would dare talk about it.." you say, "Pardon me, just the curiosity of a little ol' hag leaking..". You continue the story, "It was just a month ago where a group of orcs rampaged across the farms and happened to unfortunately stumble upon our hometown, destroying everything they stomped across. It was too frightening for me, my parents, whilst panicking, chuckled me away into our small storage room where I slumbered there for a few hours until I woke up to the sound of.. nothing. It was quiet, way too quiet for the likes of the village.. I asked myself what had occured as I was helplessly trying to open the heavy door. At that time I wish I had never left my tiny chamber.. as it was, and literally, the only thing left intact.. How lucky and unlucky at the same time.. After the horrific events that have passed, I needed time to think and adapt to the situation I was in. After a few days have passed I recieved a letter-", "Yes that was my letter!" she cuts you off, "I still can't believe only a few were left alive, especially you as you were the only one who wasn't taken.", "Can you be quiet please? This is a bit hard to talk about and I would like to concentrate." you exclaim. "Sorry.. haha". "As I was saying, I had recieved a letter that you claim it was yours from a crow describing how you know the situation and that you would invite anyone left to come over to your town, so in response, I sent a reply indicating I wanted to come by. So by following your "directions" that took me 2 weeks to figure out, thanks! I had to survive in the wilderness by my own, not the best experience..", the old hag says in remorse "I'm very sorry you had to go through that, I'm not known for my path makings and giving out directions.. haha.", you reply with "No problem, that is in the past now.", a brief moment after, you start feeling dizzy and appear to be nauseous. "Are you feeling well?" the hag seemingly asks,

"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…

((This was so fun to think of and write down! Unfortunately I have to go to bed now since I got school tmrw, but I really do hope you enjoy reading through my short paragraph! ps I'm new to story making and roleplaying so hopefully I am not doing too bad. I will send the correct character skin via discord if possible because of my due-ed bedtime, but the one I will send will be very similar except for hair and eye color underneath the hood))
