You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: "Greetings milady," Wolgrim nods weirdly, and takes off his helmet "I am Wolgrim Hearthrend."
Wolgrim looks at the cushion uncomfortably, decides to stand instead "I rather not sit down now, if you excuse me ma'am." takes a deep breath
"May I ask you who you are?" The hag just stares at Wolgrim.
The witch goes "Don't you recognize me?"
Wolgrim shakes his head and gets a bit uncomfortable.
"Don't you remember exactly 2 weeks ago when you posted a sign on the notice board in Urguan, saying you're looking for a herbalist to cure your sleep depravation?" the crone sighs "you were here 2 days ago and told me to bring your pickaxe back to your forge in Urguan and you gave me a tree branch instead of that."
Wolgrim tries not laugh and shrugs "I don't remember anything of this, maybe I drank too much on the last feast with the Treebeards."
The hag starts laughing "I don't think you have a sleeping problem, instead of a drinking for sure!"
she suddenly looks strictly on Wolgrim and asks "What about the payment for the basket of Athelas that I gave you last time, only because you promised to bring gold with you next time?"
"Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
