    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming is using your real life self to the benefit of your ingame character. if I was aware that something was going to happen to my friends, I would have to travel to them to warn them, using Discord or an external chat program to warn them would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Mary sue but for fancy people, making your character overpower those around them, if I was to partake in powergaming I would say "Artemus uses his devine powers to summon a concentrated lightning bolt at the beggar, killing him instantly and causing a massive explosion destroying the surrounding village!"
