Before I speak I gaze at the man who approaches me. I look him up and down, for most Men don't speak to me, especially in such a friendly manner. "Well, I've been home far too long. Thought I'd make something of myself. Have a home, a bit of coin." He smiles and lets out a slight chuckle,
"Yes, well this is the place. Most come here looking for great deals of wealth and stunning titles. Here, we can talk more at the pub."
I shake my head as a sign I agree and follow. We enter the pub and an instantly notice theres a great amount commotion. Most the men here are either fondling with the barmaids or getting drunk off there asses. We sit at the bar and begin to chat some more.
"Barmaid, bring us two ales." He hands me my ale and begins drinking his. I'm still not too sure of this character so I lay down my ale and wait for him to speak.
"So, beautiful weather here isn't there. Always sunny and warm." The man says with a big smile on his face.
I look at him with a confused look, "I assume you brought me here because you have a proposition and not just to talk about the weather?"
"well you are right. I have a few jobs you may be able to complete, a bit of coin is involved as well as more if your interested?"
"What would I be doing? If you don't mind me asking?" Looking confused as he finishes his ale and responds, "Well, there have been reports of Orcs and Goblins lurking in the forests right outside the city. Looking our caravans and stealing our supplies. Without them we would lose a good amount of coint."
"That is what Orcs and Goblins do. They just love slaughtering innocent people and stealing their effects. Even if its worthless. But why should I risk my life and waste my time helping you."
"You are a dwarf aren't you? Your kind hates Orcs and Goblins! When I first saw you step off that ship to the docks I knew you would be perfect. A mighty dwarf against the worthless scum. Plus if you do defeat these 'bandits' you could say a lot of coin and ale will be involved."
I look down in awe and think too myself if I should consider this or turn him down and tell him to find another dwarf? Tempting as it is, it would be nice to gain some coin.
"So what say you?" I look at him and grin. I grab my ale I have touched our entire conversation and drink the whole thing in one big gulp. "So....where do I start?"
