    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Firstly, I would avoid godmodding by balancing out my character’s traits, and giving them a roughly equal level of flaws and attributes. Secondly, I avoid powergaming by ensuring that my emotes and in-game actions allow for others to respond and are based on realistic or acceptable scenarios, and I make sure that I don’t disrupt the normal flow of roleplay by doing something outlandish.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay as it ruins the immersive experience for everybody else who is following the rules. It disrupts the roleplay as the character will no longer act as they normally would and the roleplay will no longer take the expected path and the storyline will drastically change for the worse. It is not fair for those who want the roleplay to play out as it normally would.

You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Aelana tilts her head, wary, but takes a seat regardless, perching on the edge of the cushion. ”Who are you?” she asks sharply, “and how do you know of me?” The crone’s eyes light up at her response and she leans forward, her features stark in the light. Anticipation fills the air…
