    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by blurring the lines between what the character knows and what the player knows. In a roleplaying context, metagaming refers to using out-of-character (OOC) knowledge to influence in-character (IC) actions or decisions. This breaks the immersion and fairness of the roleplaying experience like

    Unrealistic knowledge: Metagaming allows players to make decisions based on information their characters wouldn't realistically have. This can lead to characters reacting to situations in ways that don't make sense within the context of the story or the character's knowledge.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
