Aldous originates from the land of the Heartlanders, who was quickly thrown into the combat role upon being male. Despite his attraction to the literature promoted by his people, he was forced to still practice the combat roles due to his father’s desires to bring “honor” and “pride” to the family name. Aldous learned to handle his weapons and hand-to-hand combat in spite at a young age, all the way to his adolescent years (16).
Upon growing up to the adolescent ages, he slowly began to rebel against his father and question the role of the monarchy that he fought under. In his free time, he would read the books of literature regarding the criticisms of the Empire of Man, and their atrocities amongst the lands. With this, also came the questioning of the Church of the Canon on account of the influences of the rulers and their faith.
With this criticism and stepping out of line in front of a nationalistic father, he was then reported to the law and was forced to flee from his hometown of Carolustadt.
Roaming the lands of Atlas as a young man, he knew not where to turn left now that he’s on the run as a wanted man for defying the Empire. In his pursuit of wanting to find truth and providing for people of all kinds, he turned to The Grand Library of Dragur in desires to follow what he enjoyed the most-- knowledge.
Upon arrival, the hosts of The Library greeted him with open arms and seeked to quench his thirst of education. In the time that he spent (16-20) at The Library, he took up the interest of healing and alchemy in desires to use it for good. He took time to also educate himself on philosophy and the explanation of purpose in the world. With this, also came the understanding of what the wars may be represented upon learning emotions of the races, and possible desires to promote peace and proper judgement from the current day.
With his newfound education, Aldous seeks to travel the lands with hopes to find an honorable guild or group to help him promote the truth, along with banding the lands for true peace. He looks not for power, but rather for a reality of understanding in the world.
