Nela is a Highlander from the Kingdom of Norland. She lived in a small village in the cold north where her father worked as a blacksmith and her mother a midwife. Nela got her start singing in the local tavern as well as playing the fiddle. She later learned how to play the flute though she is still a beginner. At 20 she decided to pack up and travel the world, perhaps even go to a bardic college someday. She was told by her father that their family had old snow elf blood from the early settlers of Norland, though generations of human ancestors have erased any elf traits Nela may have possessed.
