Anton lived most of his life in a poor, remote village in the highland areas of the Empire of Man with his family and fellow villagers. From childhood, Anton had a deep love for those around him, and his fellow highlanders that would occasionally travel by. Under the apprenticeship of his father, he quickly learned the trades of hunting, fishing, and most importantly, survival. Once his father saw that he could survive on his own, he started teaching him swordsmanship. However, Anton’s swordsmanship training did not get very far, before a disease swept through the highland villages, including his. The villagers did not think much of it at first, because sickness was nothing new, but the disease did not pass. More and more villagers were getting infected with it, and the Empire doctors would not help them, as they could not pay for the medicines. As things kept getting worse and worse, Anton set out to find help from someone who could save his village. After three days of searching, he stumbled across a group of traveling Druids, and begged them to save his village. The Druids complied, and traveled back with Anton to his village to heal those that could be saved, but upon arriving, only a handful of villagers were left alive. All of the survivors were infected with the late stages of the disease, and as such, there was nothing that the Druids could do. Anton found his mother among the survivors, where she gave him his fathers sword, Incursion, which was used by his grandfather, in the Atlas Coalition War. After this, his mother urged him to go, as to not get the disease himself, so Anton and the party of Druids left. Several days later, in the city of Helena, Anton left the small party of Druids, to travel on his own. The Druids offered to train him to be a Druid himself, and to accompany them for a time, but Anton refused, believing his place to be among the nations of man and fellow highlanders. Filled with the sorrow of his lost home, he set out from village to village, helping other highlanders in need.
