Remie is an illegitimate child born in Avalain to a lower class woman called Ira Iden and a powerful man. Her father rather quickly stopped associating himself with Ira, paying her to keep secrecy. Ira gave her daughter all the love she needed to make up for her lacking dad. As Remie grew up, it was very clear she wasn’t like other children. She has a lack of personal space, ex, when someone takes a step back she would take two steps towards them, would never trust anyone, and most of all would never hold eye contact. She’s aloof and a bit too honest. Remie is a fast learner who’s a natural at music and plays the harp, but unlike other heartlanders who are ambitious, Remie gives up rather easily, not seeing the point if you cant do it first try. Her mother fell ill and passed, Remie not quite understanding as to what happened. She buried Ira’s body herself and is now raising herself. And although she still doesn’t look both ways whilst crossing the street, she’s trying her best.
