Jacquelyn never knew her father. Her and her mother were forced to leave the Citadel in Skjoldier when she was very young. In order to stay alive, they quickly joined a group of rangers traveling the wilds. Her mother learned some sensory illusion to be able to help, and earn their stay. Jacquelyn started to dress as a boy and go by the name “Jack” in order to protect herself from frost witches. She grew up traveling between villages, Trading anything from firewood to information just to earn some food. She got particularly good at tracking. knowing where the war, the witches or even a good hunt was, proved to be a great bargaining chip when they would return to villages. However once she became older she could no longer disguise herself as a boy. She married one of the boys she grew up with, hoping it would offer her protection. One day while they were staying at a village, the witches found them. In the chaos, Jacquelyn’s mother used her magic to disguise Jacquelyn long enough to get away. She never saw her mother or her husband again. After giving up on finding them, she used every favor she had just to get her on a ship off of the continent. Since then, she has spent her time travelling around the world.
