Sarren Blackstone comes from a small family whose lineage lies in the Midlands of Atlas, in the free city of Belvitz. However, for several decades and for the duration of his life, his family has been largely separated across the lands of Arcas. He, however, along with his father and sister, have lived in the Empire of Renatus for several years. His father passed shortly after his 18th birthday, and he never had a chance to meet his mother. His sister went off to live a separate life, and he has not seen her since her disappearance. After his father’s passing, Sarren began to seek work in different fields, trying his hand at merchanting and jewelry-making before finally settling down on music and bard work, travelling and playing songs for any who would hear in exchange for coin. His keen interest in the arts led him to refocus the majority of his time on the study of music. Sarren learned to play the lute at a very young age, but it has only been for about three years that he has been playing a piano whenever he has been given the chance. The man who taught him the piano offered him a piece of advice one late evening. The man said, “Music is a thing that exists to unite people. All religions, races, and creeds. All of them, with rare exception, can appreciate a song. Use this, for people will hear your songs and your words and they will listen. The things you say could change the world, for you never know who could be listening.” Today, he often finds himself traveling, hoping to soon reach the federation of Sutica, seeking the melting pot of cultures that lives in its capital city as a means to meet new people and find inspiration for what he hopes to be his magnum opus. He also desperately wishes to see a Lubba at least once in his life, and would be willing to seek out a ship to take him to the sea one day to fulfill that very wish.
