rone was always a curious soul. she was a heartlander, born originally in carolustadt in the year 1700 to two merchant parents. she fled with her parents to helena during the move from atlas to arcas. though rone doesn’t recall much of this move at all (after all, she was only 5 years old at the time), but her mother and father would tell her stories of the third atlas coalition war. who spent most of her days in the libraries, reading any books she could get her hands on. it caused her to start to question the church of the canon. she started asking questions to anyone who would listen. ‘why is the creator the single most powerful being?’ ‘why do we have to worship him?’ ’why does he care what we do? kings punish us, not the creator’ this started to create unrest in her relationships with her friends and family. rone’s mother was very religious. she followed the principles of the church, practiced canonism. she was the model follower. when she got pregnant with her second child, she said it was a blessing from the creator. however, shortly after the baby was born, it perished. rone’s mother was heartbroken, and rone blamed the creator for the death of her stillborn baby brother. she publicly announced she was renouncing the church of the canon, knowing the consequences of doing so. wound up in her grief, rone set out on her own, learning how to make a living for herself by resorting to doing whatever jobs she could find (still staying on the right side of the law). rone would later hear from an old childhood friend of hers that her mother had passed away during her third attempt at having another child. after this, rone lost all respect for the value of life and turned to illegal methods to earn money such as thievery, mercenary work, and assassinating common folk.
