Ivar was conceived on the way to Arcas from Atlas. He’s a Norlander born on the island of Arcas. He was raised in a small house where his father and mother did the best they could for him. 6 years after birth he started helping his father around the farm. At this time Ivars mother Astrid became pregnant with his younger brother Herald. Herald died in his infancy. The family struggled for many years afterward, Ivars father Ivur started going to pubs often. Many times when he came home he would beat Ivar, his mother never did anything to help him. After 11 years of being beaten Ivar had enough. He followed his father to the pub one night. He was dressed in a dark cloak so he wouldn't be recognized, after a couple drinks in the corner he was ready. He emerged from the corner with fire in his eyes, looking at his father having just learned he had been seeing other woman that night. He pulls a knife from his belt and approaches his father. Without a moment of hesitation he stabs him 3 times in the chest quickly. His father was dead, however his act did not go unnoticed and the woman his father was with quickly sliced at his face before Ivar could turn and run. A mere few months later there was a letter in the mail, Ivar had just turned 18. A friend of the family was calling and his clan needed help in the pine march near the kindom of Haense, and this was his opportunity to leave the childhood home outside of Haenes that his father had destroyed. Ivar left without telling his mother and he never plans on returning. Ivar set off on his adventure, after days of travel he was finally nearing the Pinemarch, that's when he heard a strange noise, it sounded like a winged screamer, but he was probably just tired and heard a near by rodent. As he was drawing nearer and nearer to the Pinemarch he started to smell the ales and meats, he hasn't had such a feeling of home in a very long time. Ivar is very tired and hungry and he's ready to feast and meet this friend. And this is where his journey begins.
