Growing up in the desert, Vegum was different from other Uruks, even if he was trained in the art of combat, his interests lied elsewhere. He was interested in other races. Specifically their culture. From Art to their history, he showed more interest in their culture than his own. After his interests were found out by the chieftain, he was shown mercy by being banished from the tribe. Exiled from the tribe, he traveled through the harsh desert, combating through its enemies. Being famished and weak, he managed to find a forest, where he settled down and built his abode. For a while, all he focused on was trying to survive in unfamiliar lands. One day, while Vegum was collecting food and water, he was walking along a riverbank, gathering water and fish, he stepped on some moss and slipped, hitting his head on a rock, knocking him out. When he came back to his senses, he was greeted by a female elf, pointing a bow and arrow at him. Dazzled by the elf’s beauty, Vegum put down his water and fish on the ground, and slowly backed away while maintaining eye contact. He backed up into the forest and hid behind a tree, peeking to see if the elf took the food and water. When he went to peek, their eyes met once again. Her friendly eyes made him slowly walk out of the cover, slowly approaching the elf. Blocked by the language barrier, Vegum used his hands to signal his intentions of being friendly. The two took interest in each other, communicating through their hands. After spending time together for a while, the two had a child named Sylvum. One day, Vegum was out cutting a tree down for some firewood, when he smelled some smoke. He turned around and saw a huge fire come from the direction of his house. Dropping all the wood, Vegum rushed back. When he arrived at the house, he saw a horrifying image. He saw his house on fire, next to it, his kid’s and his wife’s heads impaled on wooden sticks. He saw a group of goblins surrounding the house with torches in their hands jumping around in a circle. Wielding his axe, Vegum charged in, slaying all of the goblins, but coming out with severe injuries. Gathering what he could salvage from the house, he got what he could that reminded him of his wife and kid. From there, he began his adventure to the lands of Arcas. Where he settled down in the city of Haense.
