Corrin was born to high elves and received a traditional education, being technically Mali’thill, or pure blooded. However, her education only instilled in her an intense disdain both for the oppressive purity of her heritage, and the seeming corruption and cruelty of all other races, as exemplified through events such as elven subjugation under humanity through Oren. As such, she dropped her last name to distance herself from her family and place of birth and sought to interact with other, ‘lesser’ elves, choosing to augment herself with a bow in direct defiance to the emphasis of magic high elves usually undergo. Despite this, her contempt towards close combat prevents her from actual mastery in a military situation. Cold, but not proud, and deeply cynical, Corrin believes the one true ‘worthy’ calling is death for coin, because it is the only cause that does not present a moral juxtaposition. Still very young, Corrin wishes to venture to a place free of racial ties, or at least confirm for herself that one such place exists. She wishes to know if she will have to live out a long existence surrounded by bloody, meaningless obligations for all time. To her, obligation, such as obligation through blood or obligation through greed, is the greatest source of evil. This coldness has permeated deep into her rhetoric, leaving her wary and removed, but she is in fact capable of respect and is searching for any sign of respite from her jaded mentality. So far, she has yet to experience the redeeming qualities of others, particularly non-elves, or true ‘friends.’
