Kirito was born during the winter, his father Perk and his mother Tren were both heartlanders. During his childhood, Kirito was a Spectator of the segregation of his fellows to the different races and the poor. His rebellious side and his maturity forced him to leave his native kingdom, the Holy Orenian Empire. So, at his fourteenth birthday, he went into exile, refuting his highlander blood with the goal of getting to know better this world that he was so passionate about. Having no connection with his parents and no friends, made it easier to quickly left this kingdom which he hated so much, leaving behind him only a remorse, not having brought his only brother Gascor with him who deserved better than this "rotten country" according to Kirito but he was only 4 years old and it was too risky for him to take part in this adventure. The first months of exile went smoothly for Kirito, however one morning while he was training for the sword, he was attacked by surprise by a wild beast which attacked him on the head. This beast left him alone the time to bring its kinds. Fortunately during this time, anelf passing by, recued him andtook him home in Haelun'or. when Kirito woke up 3 days after, he didn’t know who he was, and he didn’t know anything about his past. The High Elvs took him under their wing and decided to educate him as an Elf. After 5 years spent with the Elves, who considered him as one of their, he had only 2 ideas in mind, knowing his past and perfecting his sword mastery. Orcs, dwarfs, humans, elves he wants to beat them all with his sword Drend which is actually his only companion. Only some Elves say that it is also to fill his lonely heart that he would have left Haelun'or. Thusthat on his twentieth spring that Kirito decided to continue the adventure that he began 6 years earlier with the same conviction but a better preparation and a better mastery of the sword.
