Kolanu grew up in the city of Fi’halen with his parents, Eirios (Father) and Finona (Mother), and his older brother, Mokos. He lived there for all of his life until he was considered to be an adult by the Elven standards. Given that the city didn’t have much of a school system, he gained much of his learnings by spending his day to day in the library, reading every book that he had access to. He was never much of the social person, always keeping to himself with his nose stuffed in a book, or two, or three. Given his experiences reading over the many years of his living, he was able to read books much quicker than those around him. Given the curse that is bestowed upon Elves, and the fact that he spent all of his time reading, researching, and asking questions anywhere he could, he never gave a thought to finding a relationship. Although, given his stature and his personality, it wasn’t as though many people were coming up to him and interested in him anyhow. Kolanu is smaller for his race, lacking in height, weight, and muscle structure. He’s a skinny fellow, looking like your typical clumsy nerd. In the city of Fi’halen, he made many friends given that he is very open minded about many things. He believes that every person is a potential friend, and will believe anything said behind a friendly face. In his time here he had heard rumors of the use of magic. Throughout his childhood he had always felt like there was something missing about him, and through his research, he read that there was the potential to learn such a form of the arcane arts that he himself could obtain. Kolanu tried his hardest to make this connection and possess this power on his own, with no success. So, he packed his books, grabbed his quill and paper, and set off to learn as much as he could about the arcane arts, whatever he could. With no idea of where to obtain this information, he set out his venture across the continent of Atlas. When he started to doubt his findings would be successful, he then set out for the continent of Arcas, hoping to find his goal there. Through many years of failed exploration, he decided to head back to his home continent. During his childhood, studies, and what he was told along his journey, he heard of the Eternal Library, set in The Silver State of Haelun’or, the nation of the High Elves. So, with that he set off towards Lareh’thilln, hoping to obtain his goal of knowledge in any form. Still with the hopes of delving into the arcane arts when it would seem applicable to do so.
