Nobi was born into a group of mine-dwelling Goblins located in the mountain range to the North. It was a home to those who were deemed unfit for the battlefield by their Orcish masters, serving the cause of war by mining ore for weapons and armor instead.
Even amongst goblins, Nobi was a frail boy and it was deemed a miracle amongst his kind that he survived his early years.
His fate was much the same though, as he was made to work the mines from a young age, never to see the light of day not until years had passed.
Nobi understood the law of the strong as much as anyone else, yet he always had some vague idea of fairness, that it didn’t seem right that he was lowest of the low because of the way he was born, no matter how hard he’d try and work. He liked to fantasize about the day he’d be strong enough to command the Orcs around instead, imagining how it would be if he were to become a Rex – or better yet rule the entire realm of Arcas yet!
Over the years eventually, his delusions and the violet temper common amongst his kind led to Nobi trying to revolt against one of his Orc superiors. It was a fruitless attempt, being completely overpowered by the Orc, he had his tusks broken off and was tortured for hours. The Orc did have the intention to leave him alive – but getting a little bit too much into the fun, Nobi ended up losing too much blood, his consciousness slowly fading.
As he drew his last breath, he thought to himself: “One day! One day we thee goblins won’ be on thee bottem!”
When Nobi opened his eyes the next time, he found himself at the Cloud Temple. His memory was hazy and he didn’t know how he got here. Only one thing remained, that urge to overthrow the common order andd take over the world.
