Born and raised in the Golden City of Ves, Mykhail grew in a modest household as an only child. His parents, being blacksmiths, taught him metalwork through his childhood, having him work as an apprentice to them by his eleventh year. While he inherited his mothers smaller figure, Mykhail adopted his fathers quiet, observant nature. Making friends was never a priority, until one of his father’s customers, a swordplay instructor, came in with his son, intending to introduce the craft to the boy. Brash and extroverted, the boy offered a friendship Mykhail saw no reason in refusing. Months later, Mykhail found himself learning swordsmanship alongside the boy, under the tutelage of his father. Drawn to learning more of the craft he’d grown with, Mykhail took to the trade like duck to water, quickly and fondly. Years later, Mykhails only friend decides to leave behind the Golden City, alone. Unsure of himself and his future, torn between following in the footsteps of his friend or continuing the path of taking the family business, Mykhail turns to perfecting his swordsmanship. After a year, now nineteen, Mykhail finds he will gain little more from a life in the city of his birth, leaving Kaedrin behind, following the path south to The Cloud Temple to find wisdom in the monks knowledge. Perhaps there he will find some peace of mind, or perhaps a direction with which to take his life.
