Launus Duskbringer was born in the middle of winter in the cold of the night. His Mother Nelisa Rivrah was a barmaid in the city and his father Zezruduth Bolraith was a scholar studying Ancient Civilisations. His mother met his father when he went into the local pub one day and saw the finest lady in the land cleaning tables. She also happened to be the only other Dark Elf to leave their home of Vira'ker the home of the Dark Elves. They started to talk and eventually, one thing led to another and Launus was born in the same tavern due to a fierce storm. When he was seven his father took him on his first trip to see the ruins of Kal'Urguan. Fascinated by the ruins young Launus started to learn more about lost cities and ruins. In school, he was often alone because all the children were scared of him. Their parents told them that Dark Elves are evil and pursue destruction because they look weirder than High Elves. All but one, Rhoseli Vomush finally after years of staring at him introduced herself to Launus one day as he was working at the pub. They became good friends and hung out a lot. With help from Rhoseli, Launus became a History Scholar. One late night when they both had nothing to do Launus asked Rhoseli out for dinner. he gave him an excited yes and they went for a night on the town and had a wonderful time. As they were eating people start running down the street towards what appeared to be smoke. Launus got up and saw that is was near his house, he sprinted over there but was to late. His house was engulfed in flames and his parents were nowhere to be seen. The day after it is confirmed that his parents had passed away and the cause was a candle was knocked over while they were sleeping. Filled with grief and emotion Launus returned to the Pub his Father and Mother owned and found a box tucked away behind some old furniture. he parchment of the front said “Adventures With Launus” Inside were pictures of every site he and his father had visited. Albums upon albums and underneath it all there was a piece of paper. Inscribed on it there were names of places he wanted to take Launus “1-The Crumbling Tower 2-Okarn'thilln, etc”. At this moment Launus made a promise to his father that he would travel to these destinations and discover all there was to find. With a determined mind, a knapsack and a Dagger he set off on his adventure. He left Rhoseli with a promise of riches when he returns.
