Born within the borders of the Holy Orenian Empire, within it’s prestigious capital of Helena, Augus wasn’t built for grand aspirations from the start.
A sickly boy from birth--a birth that killed his mother Henrietta--he’d been brought up to work alongside his blacksmith-of-a-father Juste Valent from the moment he could handle the tools of the trade (though Juste made sure Augus could read in order to augment his possibilities as a future blacksmith). Such an upbringing quickly hardened the boy--and he soon grew out of that sickly disposition he’d been left with since birth--growing into a handsome man full of strength and vigor.
What neither he or his father knew until later was that Augus was a deeply ambitious man--he only needed a spark--and that spark would come about on his 15th birthday when he had the opportunity to make a trophy of a grand tome on the history of Humanities greatest leaders and Empires--soon finding himself drawn to such a task.
Upon the eve of his 19th birthday he left--rucksack in hand--skipping out on Helena and his father in order to make his own life.
