Eyre was born the youngest of six siblings. Both her parents were devout Canonists and raised their children in the faith. Eyre grew up near the docks of Haense, where her father worked. She’s spent years trying to distinguish herself from her five older siblings. Unlike the other women in her family, she rejected taking on a more traditionally feminine role in life. However, she still has great respect for women who have the patience and skills to do things like embroider and run a household.
During her youth she primarily helped her father and brothers with their work on the docks, while her mother provided her with a basic education at home. For awhile her hair kept getting in her way when she worked. Eyre ended up losing her patience and decided to chop it off. She still has a scar from where she accidentally cut her ear instead of her hair. Despite the injury involved, she decided she quite liked her hair short and has kept it that way for years (her family was scandalized at first, but have grown accustomed to it).
Growing up, Eyre continuously expressed her admiration for the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. Her family, worried for her safety, was opposed to the idea of her joining up and tried to suggest other careers instead. She decided to humor them and has spent years looking into different career options, although she mainly makes her living doing jobs at the docks. She hasn’t been able to find any careers that has sparked her interest, and has recently found herself once again itching to pursue military employment.
