Petravan lived a normal life in the Miravaris family. He made friends, sometimes got in trouble, and always had an interest for the world outside the boundaries of Lareh’thilln. One day, when he was 90, he grabbed his essential things, stuffed them in a backpack and other bags, and left Lareh’thilln. He traveled through Arcas much like a hitchhiker, staying in different cities, towns and villages, sometimes getting into more trouble, other times making allies and friends. He always tried staying up to date with the affairs of Haelun’or, and staying away from large-scale conflicts. The War of the Two Emperors raged on, and Petravan was far away from it, but far from oblivious to its details. The Diarchy was reestablished, and that planted the seed in Petravan that would, in due time, grow into a desire to return to Lareh’thilln, even though it’d be a difficult, long journey. Several situations where his belongings were stolen also made him wary of his surroundings and unknown folk.
