Elstrier was born to a very poor family with five siblings and was left for dead due to money constraints on his family. He was then brought in by a lonely thief. He was raised by the man until when he was thirteen his mentor was caught. The thief was taken by the town guards and was later executed. Elstrier then lived by himself until he was also caught. Where he would have been let go normally, King Pierce had taken a more hands on approach to managing his kingdom. And thus Elstrier was to be executed just like his mentor. He managed to escape and has lived on the run for a few years now. But his sins have caught up with him and now he must leave Curonia. Elstrier decided to set his sights on Sutica after hearing of their prosperous trader kingdom. He thinks he can also make use of their hospitality and charitably to make some quick coin.
