Leon Bezdetham is a highlander. Being born blind comes with its ups and downs, especially in the highlands of the Kingdom of Haense. His father, Oberen Bezdetham was entirely responsible for raising Leon, as his mother, Leonie Bezdetham, died during childbirth. While most adolecent highlander boys were expected to to be performing errands like gathering firewood or gathering herbs, Leon was tasked with touching his body and every nook and cranny of his home to be able to move around freely, and being able to come to his father’s location just by hearing a soft sigh. It was when Leon was 16 that a group of traveling bards passed through the small town he lived in, he was infatuated by the music they played. For 2 years the normally quiet town would be occasionally filled with the sound of quiet singing or humming. When Leon was 18, his father gave him a small knife, Oberen had no idea how Leon would learn to defend himself, but he knew that Leon would end up leaving home, despite his blindness. Sure enough, on the morning of his 19th birthday, Leon left home on a journey to hear and study the music of the world. Due to his blindness, Leon developed a form of self-defense that mainly involved grabing whatever appendage was used to strike him, and then stab it. Leon has been on his journey for 1 year and his adventure is only just beginning.
