Roland was born around the time of the War of the Two Emperors’ end and as such grew up under the banner of the Holy Orien Empire. He lived on a farm on the outskirts of the city of Helena with his Mother after his father passed due to illness. He took a role caring for his mother and aiding in the farm’s chores, after his mother later passed due to illness he sold the farm and left to seek work within the city walls however, he did not fair too well. After managing to buy a small shack in the city he soon ran out of money and ended up being evicted.
Whilst out on the streets he would earn enough money to survive through being a pickpocket and begging. His outlook on life was becoming darker by the day until a priest of the church of Canon aided him by gifting him bread and clean water whenever it was possible for him to do so. This carried on for a few years until the priest was sent away for a reason unknown to Roland. However, the man’s kindness stuck with him, he decided to turn his life around, seeking work on various farms and merchant caravans he started travelling away from his homeland more and more. He often refused to take payment from poorer employers stating that they needed the money more than him. Currently he is continuing his travels, aiding people where he can and to the best of his ability, and whilst opinions of him are mixed with some referring to him as being an Obnoxious pest and others seeing him as a lively friend, he never refuses to give aid to those in need.
