Killian Vern was born in The Holy Orenian Empire to Marissa Vern and Julian Vern. His father was a veteran of The War of The Two Emperors and frequently laments about the loss of his brother and Killian’s uncle, Roland. Killian frequently reads many history books and was bright as a child. When he was 16, he apprenticed as a blacksmith for 6 months, he didn’t like the job and decided to become a farmer. He is still a farmer today and mostly grows potatoes and a few other crops. Around 20 years old Killian took a trip to Haelun’or and visited other places across the land of Arcas. Killian grew up in a very peaceful home with a home education by his father. Killian wondered in shock in awe of Oren, and grew up very patriotic of his country. Killian used to enjoy eating cherries until one incident happened. One day when Killian was still a young boy, he saw somebody ate cherries so grotesquely that he swore to never eat cherries again. Between the ages of 6 and 12 Killian learned the art of sword-fighting, Killian is a decent fighter but definitely not the best fighter out there.
Killian’s paternal grandfather immigrated in 1710 to Oren from Norland and supported Renatus in The War of the Two Emperors, although Killian doesn’t like to mention this. Nowadays Killian is taking life one year at a time and making sure not to make any close friends.
