Tait's father fought in the War of Two Emperors for the Holy Orenian Empire, however, he fled a year into the fighting, he then took up the name Bernard Hyte and took refuge in Haense. Eventually, he met a farm owner named Maribel and they fell in love. Unfortunately, during childbirth, Maribel passed away, leaving Bernard with the child, which he named Tait. Tait's early years were filled with stories from her father, which made him out to be a brave hero rather than the coward he truly was. Tait, not knowing any better, believed these stories with all her heart, aspiring to be a great hero when she grew up. Tait didn't have many friends, so she spent most of her time helping her father with the farm they inherited from her late mother. Tait's only education was from things her father would tell her. During The Troubles, while Tait was already reclusive, she began to never leave her house under order of her father. When she turned 19, her father suddenly disappeared. Tait was confused, and due to the stories he told her, she assumed the worst. So, she sold the farm and begun to search for him.
