Muin was born into a family of 3, her sister just months older than she. They resided in the Princedom of Fenn with the rest of the Mali’Fenn community. Her father made his wages as a forager and hunter, picking up job postings around town. Her mother, a locally known herbalist, found herself deep in the forest on a foraging mission when she tripped and broke her ankle. Consequently, using her own herbal supply, she medicated with shadeleaf and got addicted. The dangerous herb brought her near insanity, not being able to discern reality from a dream, forgetting her own children. Refusing help from the community and her family, she wandered into the woods one day never to be seen again. Muin and her sister, Eruanna, eventually had to take up a job with their father to provide for their household. Although her family doesn’t have a lot of money, they live comfortably and happy, sharing a close relationship after their traumatic loss of their mother. Yet, Muin and Eruanna refuse to believe that their mother could truly be gone and search deeper than just foraging every trip. Muin was finally learning to be happy again, making a successful life for herself when her father decided to remarry. Repulsed by their father’s betrayal to their “still alive” mother, Muin and her sister gathered their things and left home. With her sister by her side, Muin pulled out her map and began on their journey to start a new life away from the hardships of their previous life.
