Carter does not remember his early life as one day he just woke up alone not knowing.Although he forgot most things there are a few exceptions such as speaking, writing, any historical or societal knowledge he had (Manners, basic knowledge of races such as Elves) . He also still has his original personality and still remembers his wishes and goals such as his wish to break free from the human curse of limited life.
(approx 15Y old) So he lived on his own working and making the money he needs to survive, but mainly he went out to search for any knowledge he could acquire since there was lots of free space in his mind to fill.
He traveled a lot even though he was alone, from Adria to Fenn then to Sutica and anywhere else the wind took him.
After growing a bit older he would still continue to wander aimlessly but of course would realise how to go through life much better and the many ways of living.
Everything has a cost though, but that dosen’t matter to him, everything goes as long as it docent hurt him directly and making the occasional sacrifice or screwing someone isn't a problem for him.
Since he docent really follow any religion, due to the fact that there was no influence on him in that way, he instead dislikes the bindings of most religions even though they may grant bonuses in return.
Now he continues to search for anything he might need or wants. this might not be the best lifestyle but he likes it. Sometimes he has to crawl in the mud and other times he can eat like a king.
Though he might eventually find friends, he will sacrifice anything if it's necessary for his goal.
