I was born an only child to two scholars, deeply immersed in lore and history. In Haelun’or growing up, I had very few friends, of my own choosing. I was, and still am to this day, an introvert. My parents wanted me to be a top-ranking scholar later in life, and would help me along the way. They warned me not to be too friendly with other races, as it could damage my chances of becoming what we wanted me to become. I ignored them. At the age of thirty, I traveled to Sutica, as I knew it would be a great place to begin learning of other races. I knew the Eternal library had everything I wanted to learn in it, but I wanted to learn firsthand.
This is my one exception of being a cold and distant person. On the way, I was mugged by some highway robbers. I attempted to fight them off using my dagger, but in the struggle I lost my money anyway. I fled back to Haelun’or. I was never skilled in warfare, disliking war in the first place. I put my guard up, and my anger with humans subsided over the following 20 years. I learnt and studied, being particularly interested in geography. I eventually tried my trip to Sutica once more, by longer & safer paths. I made it, and I studied the history and culture of the humans in particular first-hand. This was at the age of 62. I thought, if advancing technologically is what the Silver State is interested in, why are we so reclusive? An open exchange of ideas does not mean we still can’t be introverted. I hope to make it one day to all of the major cities in Arcas, the ones amiable to Haelun’or at least. Time will tell if my mission is successful.
