Nym does not know where he was born, but he traveled almost constantly, going town to town, city to city until he ended up in Laurelin, where he now lives. His parents were quiet folk. They rarely spoke, and while they were kind to him, they weren’t exactly a perfect family. His parents were not ready for, nor did they want children, but they always treated him and his twin sister, Lunlei. When he was in his mid 30’s, he and his parents parted ways amicably, and he hasn’t seen or communicated with them since. He doesn’t have any close friends other than his sister, but is friendly with everyone, often spending his mornings walking around and striking up casual conversation with the other residents of West Laurelin. Nym enjoys cooking, singing and art. He can often be found in the kitchen with Lunlei, or carving wood in the treetops and singing to himself. He and his sister also have matching Ilmyumier on their inner left forearms
