As an child, Ettelewen, lived in a rundown shack in the wilderness. Her father, Maurben, being her only keeper after her mothers sudden death due to illness. Struggling to provide for her, he turned to more nefarious forms of income, stealing, kidnapping, killing, all to keep his child fed and well. When Ettelewen reached her 10th year, Maurben had already sunk deeper and deeper into his crimes, until he failed one of his assignments: to kill a rival bandit leader. The costs was great, and soon Maurben realized that so long as she was with him. Ettelewen would always be in danger. So, one fateful night, Maurben took Ettelewen out into the deep wilderness and gave her a silver dagger, βCut a path to the future you want, Tel. Donβt become like me. Be better. Be stronger.β In a final embrace, Maurben left his daughter in the wilderness, with only a daggers and his woods. His fate, forever unknown to his daughter as he was never seen again. Ettelewen struggled for the next 18 years of her life in those woods. Teaching herself the basic tools she needed to survive and withstand the harsh elements. But at the end of each day, she would stand at the spot her father left, hoping for his return. A fruitless endeavor, that she finally came to terms with on her 28th year. Stepping out of the forest for the first time, in 18 years with only on goal: find her father.
