Myrtle was born to a humble undertaker named Elisabeth Faust, her father one that she never ended up meeting herself. Elisabeth raised Myrtle in a fairly big house that was handed down to her mother. It was previously owned by Elisabeth’s grandfather, and had once belonged to her twin sister, who soon after had died from unknown causes. Her family had been the Grimoire Family’s Mortician since the very beginning, and had put a lot of their family members to rest. Elisabeth raised her daughter on her own from the time of conception, and she never got a chance to see or even hear anything about who her father was or where he could be. When she was young, she would ask about him, curious as to why all the other kids had two parents and why she only had one. Elisabeth never gave her a definitive answer, only telling her that “not all families are the same.” As Myrtle got older, she insisted that her mother tell her what happened to her father. She pushed the question more and more, but Elisabeth wouldn’t budge. So, when she found herself depressed, questioning her worth and no one willing to tutor her anymore, she threw herself into wanting to fight and defend herself so she could let her anger out. Eventually, her mother had started to become old and frail, and could no longer perform most of her work duties. Myrtle had taken over for her mother and made an effort to learn how to be a good mortician.
