Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Grum “The Ancient” (Golem)

“Golems are sentient magical constructs powered by a core of varying nature. They are extremely naturally powerful, being constructed of stone, quartz or another material of that nature. They operate with absolute loyalty to their identified master, or Impera.”

Grum was created a long time ago as a means of protection, he guarded an old crypt which held the bodies of wealthy families, he protected the crypt for centuries, fighting off bandits, looting parties and even woodland creatures looking for a snack. Grum is made of Stone, fused together with magical energy, Through small cracks in this creatures body you can see a faint blueish glow, perhaps the core of this creature. Grum for a long time was commanded on the sole order of protecting the crypt, a mage had created him for this purpose, hired by a wealthy family. Unfortunately the Crypt was not as strong as Grum and eventually crumbled, Burying Grum. A long time after this a dwarven excavation team were searching amongst the ruins when they awakened Grum once again. In the confusion Grum laid waste to the excavation team shortly before realising his master had fell to waste and had been long forgotten. Grum was confused and did not have purpose, He set on a Journey Across Atlas, Eventually arriving in Arcas. He seeks a new master, Someone to Protect.

Grum is easily manipulated as he is in a state of disarray, many adventurers have passed him however have avoided him due to his hulkish nature. He awaits someone to approach, someone to lead him. Grum has no sense of good or evil, however is extremely loyal to his “master” and will usually follow their order without question. He learns from experiences and on his Journey to Arcas has become quite attuned with nature.
