Eldlanar

The capital of the The Silver State of Haelun'or, Lareh'thilln is where Eldlanar Aedthius was born. High atop the silver mountain. Eldlanars mother and father has worked in the Capital for many years, His mother and father were librarians, owning a small but impressive collection of old Elvish books, If they came across something exceptional then they would sell it to the Silver Council for archiving in The Eternal Library, this is how they made their Coin, some books however weren’t so special, but became special to their newly born boy, Eldlanar. These are the stories which would be read to Eldlanar when he was growing up in the Capital. Eldlanar attended school in Lareh’thilln, learning the basics to start of with Mathematics, Elvish Language & Literature, and Science. He studied from being 5, through to the age of 18, focusing his skills in Literature and Science. He would come home and read the books his mother and father would collect, trying to understand them and gain more knowledge. At the age of 19, Eldlanar asked his father how did they get their hands on so many old Elvish books, he explained, moving a large wardrobe in the house revealing a door, he pulled a key from his back pocket and opened it and gestured Eldlanar to come inside. Inside the room were ornate pieces of armour, long elvish swords with pristine edges, A large map of Arcas pinned to the wall with various markings on it. His father explained that they would search Arcas, gathering rumours and try and pinpoint the locations of lost knowledge. Books hidden in the deepest corners of the world. He explained that he had hidden this side of their world to Eldlanar because they wanted him to be Academically focused and not see combat, swords, armour and brutality and be inclined to join an Army and be killed for politics. Eldlanar was angry at this at first, however eventually was somewhat glad that this side of life had been hidden from him as his love of books and knowledge is now his biggest passion. At the age of 20, Eldlanar focused on Science, He wanted to figure out how everything works, he was extremely curious and spent long nights reading through piles of books attempting to learn more about the world, He earned coin by selling books that his mother and father had collected, various children's novels, copies of books. At the age of 21, Eldlanars parents didn’t return one night from one of their expeditions. With no answers he turned to the room that had been shown to Eldlanar by his father, studying the map to see where they could have gone. He found information about an Elven Crypt and reported this to the Local Guard. Around a year later with no more information about his mother and father, Eldlanar decided it was time to move on and sold his mother and fathers property, and donated their books to local orphanages. With a purse with enough coin to start his own small foothold and a head full of knowledge of the Elven World, Eldlanar set out on making a new life, he would hope to join an Academy or University or Study under a knowledgeable person to learn more about the world and perhaps discover something new.

Gregor was born in Helena, home of the Holy Orenian Empire, from a young age he was taught the teachings of the Church of Canon by his mother and father. He lived in a strict family, his father a Solider and his mother a healer who gathered herbs to help brew potions for soldiers in battle. Gregor is a Heart-lander. Living a fairly relaxed life for most of his childhood. Coming home from Church to freshly cooked meals and stories from his fathers battles, making friends at Church and learning basic survival skills from his father. Gregor in his teens helped his mother gathering herbs in the wilds, learning various potion recipes and basic medical knowledge. He then followed in his fathers footsteps, joining as a squire alongside his father, learning the rules of combat. He stood guard duty with his father many nights and took out on patrols. Exceeding expectations he slayed “Snarl”, a vicious wolf which had been prowling on the outskirts of the town taking local villagers. He joined an escort with the King when he was 24, An amazing opportunity for any soldier to show his worth. Gregor eventually became a Knight when he turned 25 and swore his allegiance to the King. Alongside blessings from the Church he became a holy protector. A Paladin. Surpassing his father. He lost his mother in the following months. Without him there to protect her something took her in the woods. She didn’t show up home and at her regular spot, there was blood, her basket and a piece of ripped cloth. A note was left behind reading “She is ours now”. Gregor has sworn to find what Evil has taken his mother. There has been rumours of a cult emerging, he suspects them...
